Due to the extremely low turnout, almost nobody shows up apparently, for the Traditional Mass in San Diego, there will now be two Masses every Sunday, low Mass at 7:30am and High Mass at 9:00am. If current trends continue maybe in the future three??

Wait a minute, something is wrong here. Now let me think, low turnout would equal less Masses, correct, but instead of shrinking they add another Mass. Whatever could be the reason?, Oh no, you don’t think that maybe in San Diego and other places like Detroit, New Orleans, even post Katrina, and Phoenix the Traditional Mass is not only alive and kicking but

EXPANDING :dancing:

Gee, I wonder why? I mean after all, almost nobody wants it and nobody goes to them, right? 👍

Yes my friend…the myth that only a small fraction of Catholics attend the Traditional Mass is just that…a myth…it is a rumor promulgated by progressives with disdain for Tradition and the Pre-Conciliar Latin Mass…this enables them to eradicate the TLM without much fuss from uninformed Catholics who believe, due to their inflated statistics, that the desire for the TLM is all but gone with 99.9% of Catholics…I wonder how they justify their lies considering that all these traditional parishes are booming with membership and growth…and their number of vocations is way above the norm. THey need to face it…the TLM has a future…it is growing rapidly despite their best efforts to eradicate it.

And not only is the TLM blooming but parishes like mine that have a Pious NO and a return to traditions, are also. It makes one wonder if putting a traditional NO in every parish would eliminate the innovative masses.

It’s time to add another Mass or two up in Orange County; the 8 AM in San Juan Capistrano is overflowing, and not a small number of faithful have to stand outside each week.

How’d that scheduling work out this Sunday? I’m a student at USD who usually goes to Holy Cross but I’m home for winter break and unfortunately missed the first Sunday with the new schedule.

People that want a traditional mass get made fun of. People that way a neo-cathcemwhatever mass in little groups, weird masses, etc… are not given a blink.
While the mindset of the “tradlatins” can be different, so can the people that think they can pick and choose what they want to believe the church teaches, support things out of line with what their church teaches them.
The best thing I think is to follow what the church teaches, have a decent Mass and be happy. No agendas and no forced thinking on behalf off all parites.

Where in San Diego?
Thanks,

My first post here. It is at the Holy Cross Chapel, but if you are planning to attend go early. It gets really crowded Every time I’ve gone they have a rosary before Mass. The Traditional Mass Society in San Diego has a web site, I think it’s called Tridentine Mass San Diego or something like that. It has a little news, pictures, Mass times maps etc. It’s pretty good
