Traditional / Novus Ordo or Both?

Those reading this section are more traditional in their worship preferences. But do you go to both Masses? Some people attend strictly the Traditional (Tridentine Mass), if available, ONLY. Others solely to the New Mass (Novus Ordo). While a third group go to either one. After years of disseminating the “Pro Multis” and “For All”, etc. translations - are either okay? After attending a lecture once, I was given the impression that going to the New or vernacular Mass - the Blessed Sacrament was not present. At the time, someone asked about Sister Lucia of Fatima who (during her lifetime) spent hours in front of the Blessed Sacrament (but apparently that was Blessed Sacrament consecrated at vernacular or Novus Ordo Mass)…The lecturer replied that even saints make mistakes. Anyone?

The translation that is okay is the one the Church says to use.

The next question should be does Christ’s Church teach mistakes?

I mean…if the Church says Mass B is valid…does the Church not have the teaching authority in this regard?

The bottom line is that if Christ’s Church says something is valid…we don’t need to worry about whether it is valid or not…

There is nothing wrong if one were to prefer one form over another. The only issue is what if that person is traveling and has no access to his form of preference? Then that person should be open and willing to go to another form of Liturgy, be it OF or EF or Eastern. If there is such Liturgy available close by and that person opted to not fulfill his/her obligation just because its not the form he/she likes, then that person is committing a sin against the Church for not fulfilling the obligation, and also questioning the Church’s authority to declare a form of Liturgy as valid.
