Traditional Pilgrimages?

What are some popular (or not so popular!) traditional pilgrimage destinations? I am going to Europe next summer and am for sure going to Fatima. One day I would like to take the Chartres Pilgrimage.
 
Lourdes is a good one. If you are really feeling special you can do the way of St. James in Spain.

I was looking at some tours that do both Fatima and Lourdes… stopping in Avila and Salamanca as well… but they are out of my price range, unfortunately! :bighanky:

It’s still nice to hear about the different pilgrimage sites… and the miracles associated with them 🙂
 
There is a traditional pilgrimage based on the Chartres model in Quebec, Canada. The destination for the pilgrimage is the miraculous and beautiful shrine of Our Lady of the Cape. The FSSP priests that attend are the chaplains, and this is its 7th year. It’s cheap to register and you walk, pray, and sing through the historic quebec countryside and attend the Extraordinary Form Mass in incredibly beautiful old churches. There are many youths and the Catholic camaraderie is amazing. I have done it 6 times, and I am in charge of promotion. Here’s a promo video for this year’s pilgrimage!

Ah, I see you’re from Calgary! I know a bunch of Catholics from there, and some who have gone on this pilgrimage, and some who want to go on it.

I live almost 3 hours away from the actual city of Calgary, so I don’t know many of the Catholics there. 😦 I might start driving up there to attend the TLM they have, though. 🙂
