Traditional Prayer, said by the priest, for Adoration

A priest on our seminary faculty recently asked me to find for him a traditional prayer used in Adoration. he said it was said just after the divine praises. It is not in the Ordinary for Adoration in our hymnals, and no such ordinary exists at all in my copy of the 1962 missal(thought it might be there, since he said “traditional”. Can some one help me find this prayer or perhaps just a traditional ordinary of Adoration that may include it?

As I recall the service may end with the Psalm Laudate Dominus usually with the Antiphon Adoremus. The Cor Jesu may also be used. The actual prayers themselves went along these lines and I am going from an old Altar Boys Guide so it may not be what is currently in vogue

Antiphon
Adoremus en aeternum Sanctisimum sacramentum
Laudate Dominum omnes gentes, laudate eum omnes populi

psalm 116**
Quonium confirmatest super nos misericordia ejus, et veritatas Domini manet in aeternum.

Gloria patri et Fili st Spiritu sancto
Sicut erat in principio et nunc et semper et in secula sacculorum

The Antiphon is repeated.You can also have a hymn in the vernacular if memory serves me correctly.

thankyou, that may be it, ill give these too him…um English trnaslations though would be good, i can probably do it myself but my Latin is rusty.

If you go to the Angelus Press Bookstore:eek: the progressives will try to sway you not to do this, you will find a book called The Holy Hour of Reparation. It costs about eight dollars. Get it. It will have everything that you need.
 
I also found this one which may be closer to what you are looking for.

Might it have been: “May the Heart of Jesus, in the Most Blessed Sacrament, be praised, adored, and loved with grateful affection, at every moment in all the tabernacles of the world, even until the end of time. Amen.”
