Truck traffic resumed Saturday between Mauritania and Morocco a day after Rabat launched a military operation to reopen a key highway in the disputed Western Sahara it said was blocked by the Polisario Front.

Tensions in the former Spanish colony have sparked concern around the globe, with the United Nations, the African Union, Algeria and Mauritania among those urging both sides to respect the 1991 ceasefire.

That “Polisario” is a group to watch. Maybe they are just wanting independence.
