I’m very ashamed to hear that this has happened to you. And I would be more than happy to make myself available to you for private conversation on the matter, as ministry.

That being said, not every man who becomes a Catholic priest or brother is a pedophile. Most are men who love God and are on the same journey that you’re on, the journey toward union with God. I cannot and will not make apologies for those who have hurt you or other children, that is their moral obligation, not mine. But I can say this, those of us who live the Gospel as Christ has called us to do so should not be punished or maligned by association. Such an act is not fair either. Christian love is rooted in justice and justice is rooted in truth. The truth is that most celibate priests and religious brothers are good Christians trying to serve God. I know, because I’m one of them.

I am sorry that this happened to you but you can not color everyone by your single experience.

To do so means that every father of a child is also a molester because some children have been molested by men who are fathers.

I have been ‘listening’ for quite a while, however as a married man i know that i could never become a Priest.

I would never consider turning my back on the Church I love to be ordained.

i relation to the molestation issue, the reality is paedophiles will choose jobs where they have acess to vulnerable children, teachers, scout leaders and sadly priests.

we can not tar all preists with the same nasty brush andit is a minority, the church needs to vet and monitor priests and not be shy in kicking them out and repoting them,

sadly because of a few nasty men the reputation of our wonderful church has gone.

You are very right. You cannot claim to love and turn your back on the beloved at the same time. To leave any one of the apostolic Churches for the sake of one’s convenience is not love, but deception.
