Is the bread of life (Jesus Body and Blood) the same as the fruit of the Tree of Life in Genesis? It allows us to live for ever and we were separated from it due to original sin…

Well, since they did not die from eating it, I’d say it was spiritual death. They also suffered a physical death because of it, but God was more concerned with their spiritual life/death when he issued the warning. Just as Jesus is more concerned with our spiritual life than our physical life. Just as WE should be concerned with our spiritual life.

I understand it represents Christ on the Cross, which gives eternal spiritual life.
