Where would he or she go to learn of the real presence ? The church .
And about the Mass being a Sacrifice?

The Church?

Even if the Church was corrupted?

How would this early Christian know what was corrupted truth vs correct truth?

Well spiritually, my parents, my spiritual "father’’, my pastors and finally any clergy, even brethren, who speak the truth on a matter.
Then you should have no problem recognizing the Authority that Jesus Christ gave HIS Catholic Church, after all HE has full and final authority to do just that. That IS the TRUTH! God Bless, Memaw

We believe that the church throughout history has taught the gospel , however , at times it has taught it purely, at others it still taught the gospel but mixed with error , the time of the reformation was one such time , and the Refomers brought the church back to teaching pure doctrine .
Please give examples of when you believe the Catholic Church Magisterium “taught” error?

I believe that the Magisterium taught error when they taught “Outside the Church there is no salvation” (Extra ecclesiam nulla salus). 🤷

So you believe that Jesus Christ is not necessary for salvation?

I just think that salvation does not come only through the Catholic Church.
Jesus and his Church are one in the same. So if you deny salvation comes through the Church you deny salvation comes through Jesus. Kinda a strange assertion for a Christian.

The Catholic Church is only one small part of “his church” along with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod, the Southern Baptist Church, the American Baptist Church, the United Church of Christ, the Episcopal Church, the Church of England, the Presbyterian Church (USA), and all the other Christian denominations. 🤷

The Catholic Church is the ONLY Church. Our separated brethren belong to denominations. No where in Scripture or the teachings and traditions of the first 1,500 years of Christianity will one find this strange belief that anyone who believes in Jesus is a member of his church

It doesn’t do any good to just quote the headline, and not give the whole explanation behind it. No wonder so many non-Catholics misunderstand things. The Bible clearly does not teach that there should be many competing doctrines, each church claiming they have it right. It just doesn’t fit.

And what do think Our Lord thinks about the situation you just outlined above?

He does NOT deny salvation through Jesus , and I’m disappointed that you would even dare to claim that about a professed brother .

He claimed the Church was not necessary for salvation. Jesus is the Church. So the statement that salvation is not through the Church is wrong.

Jesus is the groom of the church not the church itself .

846 How are we to understand this affirmation, often repeated by the Church Fathers?335 Re-formulated positively, it means that all salvation comes from Christ the Head through the Church which is his Body:

Basing itself on Scripture and Tradition, the Council teaches that the Church, a pilgrim now on earth, is necessary for salvation: the one Christ is the mediator and the way of salvation; he is present to us in his body which is the Church. He himself explicitly asserted the necessity of faith and Baptism, and thereby affirmed at the same time the necessity of the Church which men enter through Baptism as through a door. Hence they could not be saved who, knowing that the Catholic Church was founded as necessary by God through Christ, would refuse either to enter it or to remain in it.336

If it would make you feel better, then I propose that all other Christians should just agree with and follow the teachings of the ELCA so that we don’t have many competing doctrines. 😉

If their doctrines are correct it means a very inept god allowed his people to live in error for over 1500 years.

And I am sure you believe the church that you are in is teaching the whole truth as opposed to any other denomination, otherwise you wouldn’t be where you are, correct?
