Yes, I had an experience like that in 2014. I was devout in prayer, confession, and daily mass. During this time I lost my well paying job, crashed my car, and developed a mental illness.

Hugs to you, and prayers at this difficult time.
The rain falls on the just and the unjust.
Sometimes we’re led down paths in life that are painful, and we will have pain whether we are devout or not.
Prayer does not trigger disasters to happen.
But we might be led to prayer prior to difficult experiences.
I don’t know why.
Your husband didn’t do anything wrong.

Your husband likely has something better in mind for your husband. Encourage him to keep praying and knowing that God is with him.

As I have mentioned in a post on the Prayer Intentions forum, I am a seminarian candidate. As soon as I began the application process, my temptations became greater. Bad things may happen around us or to us when we are doing God’s will. It’s the way that the devil tries to discourage us.

Continue doing God’s will to the best of your ability, and one day (I can’t even guarantee it will be in this life, but don’t get discouraged!), it will all get better. It’s all you can do.

Afriend just lost his 100,000 dollar job. And 6 months earler in prayer. We the prayer group saw this.
The people thought we were wrong. But not so .
Then we prayed and saw him with 2 jobs.
And this came to happen. Just last week.
