Tridentine Mass in Belfast, Ireland

The Tridentine Mass is celebrated on the 1st Saturday, each month at 1pm. in Saint Paul’s Parish Church, Falls Road, Belfast. Rev Father Mark Graham is the usual celebrant.

Some years ago, Bishop Cahal Daly gave permission for a weekly Tridentine Mass on Sundays. He also setup a Panel of Celebrants. These celebrants either died or were transferred to other parishes.

Canon Joseph Cunningham, (Retired) was outstanding in his service to those in Belfast who preferred the Tridentine Mass. Sadly ill-health forced him to stop.

I live in Holy Family Parish, Belfast. The former Adminstrator told me recently there is no enthusism among the clergy there for the Tridentine Mass.

I wish to attend the Tridentine Mass on a daily basis in my parish but am unable to do so.

As I wrote in my previous post, **I wish to attend the Tridentine Mass, on a daily basis, in my own parish **

As far as I am aware, there is no daily Tridentine Mass at the SSPX chapel on the Andersonstown Road, which is about eight miles from where I live, I am 84 and disabled.

Perhaps because in Ireland (and elsewhere) you’re running out of priests? And not just priests who can say an EF Mass. The days are rapidly running out when one can expect to hear Mass on Sundays much less on a daily basis.
