My fiancee is Mexican and her family really want the LASSO ritual to be apart of the ceremony. I have never seen this done before and was wondering if it actually had a place in the EF. I tried searching online but couldn’t find anything. Is it just something done in the vernacular?

Thanks,

The first time I served a Tridentine wedding the couple incorporated the greek eastern orthodox tradition of exchanging the crowns. Therefore if they can incorporate that you could also use the Lasso during the this special Mass.

In the traditional rite, the wedding itself takes place before the Nuptial Mass. So, that would be done technically outside of the context of the Mass itself.
