I’m wondering if anyone knows how close the liturgies in the Anglican Book of Common Prayer (1979 edition, I believe) for Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Vigil are to what my family and I will experience this week?
Long story short: We are hoping to begin the process of joining the RCC ASAP. We didn’t get the call to Rome soon enough in the liturgical year to come in this weekend, unfortunately.
The Triduum will be my dh’s first EVER experience with liturgical worship. I am more familiar with liturgical worship, the BCP being one of the instruments that drew me out of my IFB background and towards Rome.
I have the BCP and was hoping that it was close enough to at least give dh an idea of what to expect. Am I right?
