Trinitarian Baptisimal Formula

I keep on running across this one Pentecostal guy who keeps on insisting that the Baptism should be on Jesus’ name only. Now, all that I think is that he got hung up on the singular in Matthew 28:19 (in the name of, rather than the names of), and got the notion in his head that the apostles baptized just in a Jesus-Only formula by a misunderstanding of several other places where it states where crowds were baptized into Christianity. OH! By the way, he didn’t realize that Catholics believed that Jesus was the second person in the trinity until I told him, so he still carries over the idea that the trinitarian formula implies a denial of the Trinity in favor of the belief that they are separate entities.

However, I have had serious problems dispelling this notion. I have never been good at clipping the Word of God into Magic 8-Ball or Fortune Cookie sized clips to support what I am arguing, and he has a nasty habit of rejecting non-biblical arguments outright. Additionally, my own searches have not been all that helpful when it came to looking for pre-fabricated arguments to apply to this particular problem.

I was hoping to resolve this issue before bugging you fine folk. Unfortunately, my own attempts at providing a reasonably good apologetic argument have not born fruit. So now I humbly ask you all to provide whatever help you may render so that I can at least make a good go at the next time that I must tangle with this one particular individual.

The Didache already provided us with how early Christians were baptized:

Chapter 7. Concerning Baptism. And concerning baptism, baptize this way: Having first said all these things, baptize into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, in living water.

That alone should dispel any notion that early Christianity used the name of Jesus only when baptizing.
