Trinity-- Best Analogy

Since we are all created in the image and likeness of God, we are all trinitarian by design. We can easily identify three persons within ourselves. Our spirit counsels, our mind decides and heart (body) does.

That one, of course, is the best. However, I am dealing with people who emphasize emotion in their decisions, and for whom intellect, in spiritual matters, is relatively unimportant. (Although they do try :p)
 
I got that book. It is going to be slow reading. It promises to tell me what practical significance belief in the Trinity has in guiding us to live Christian lives. May give me more answers than I was initially looking for.
 
Can the trinity possibly hang and depend on the greatest commandments? Can the greatest commandments possibly describe how Christ is one with the Father?

Jesus loves God the Father with all his heart, soul, mind and strength.
Jesus loves each and every one of us as he loves himself.

Does God the Father respond to this love?

God the Father loves God the Son, with all his heart, soul, mind and strength.
God the Father loves each and everyone of us as he loves himself.

Can God the Father or Son love us more than they love themselves.

Can the spirit be the power of God’s love working through the greatest commandments?

My son-in-law, a Presbyterian minister, serves Trinity (Neapolitan) sundaes after his Trinity Sunday service.
 
Thanks to all of you, I teach Catechism, and have needed diffenrent explainations of the Trinity as I teach all different ages. This will help.
