Today is first Sunday of Great Fast. Dedication to 7th Ecumenical Council and the occasion in 843 when ikons came again to be venerated in Catolic Church. This was with Patriarch Mefodij of Konstantinopl and Emperor Feophil and Imerpessa Feodora with young son Mikhail. Is this also celebrated in Latin Church in some perhaps different way? This is traditional Icon of this Feast show Patriarch and Imperor famiy venerating ikon of Odigitria in first register and holy martyrs in second register:

No. Although it was an ecumenical council, it directly addressed iconoclasm in the Byzantine Empire. Since its impact was felt almost exclusively by Byzantine Christians, its commemoration is virtually restricted to the Byzantine rite.

That being said, I love the Feast. I always try to visit an Eastern Catholic or Orthodox Church that day. It is a part of our shared legacy, and would be an excellent addition to the Western calendar (especially for anti-Reformation catechetical purposes).
