I’ve been getting into true crime podcasts. I am not wanting to be ridiculous but is this sinful? I ask because it seems that this is like being entertained by evil things

People listen to true crime programs for a lot of reasons, like the thrill of a mystery or interests in forensics or criminal psychology. It’s not sinful.

If you were rooting for the bad guys, then yeah, that would be sinful.
People are fascinated by the dark side, by the things that go wrong like car crashes and even by anomalies, like two-headed snakes.
Partly because our survival depends on not making any fatal slip-ups, this can serve as a cautionary tale, or we can rehearse from a safe distance “what if this happened to me”?
But thank goodness some people take an interest in the whys and wherefors of crime , or else we wouldn’t have police or detectives.

Agreed, I listen to them occasionally because of my Criminal Justice and Forensic interests. Also very interesting to read up on Serial Killers and such in my opinion
