I’m surprised that proponents of true liturgical reform/inculturation don’t more often turn to the *Missa Luba * for inspiration on future endeavors of this nature, founded in the Catholic tradition.
For those that don’t know, the Missa Luba is a musical setting for the Roman Mass as it was celebrated in the African Congo, and it was composed and celebrated before Vatican II!
The Gloria, Sanctus, and Agnus Dei can be heard here.
