Trump Mexico City Policy Cuts an Estimated $153 Million to Pro-Abortion Organizations​

President Trump’s Mexico City Policy has slashed an estimated $153 million in U.S. international aid dollars to foreign organizations that perform or promote abortion overseas, a report from the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) has found.

According to the GAO’s report, pro-abortion organizations that eventually refused to comply with the Mexico City Policy were collectively slated to receive $261.5 million in U.S. global health assistance funding. But when these pro-abortion organizations refused in mid-project to comply with the Mexico City Policy, they collectively lost an estimated $153 million in U.S. government funding.

The remaining $108 million dollars that the pro-abortion organizations received are funds the pro-abortion organizations had already been awarded by the U.S. government before the new implementing guidelines for the Trump Mexico City Policy went into effect in May of 2017.

Supporting the abortion agenda in the US per one party, also means funding abortions in maybe places like Kenya and Central America. So, it’s not just in the USA that is affected.
 
I really don’t understand how anyone could vote for this guy. So many of his proposed policies are contrary to the core things we hold dear.

Lots of people dislike the Church, oppose her beliefs, or are simply ill-intended people. That’s how.
 
More pro-life activity by President Trump outside of the United States:


The State Department said it was dropping the funding because the U.N. Population Fund (UNFPA) “supports, or participates in the management of, a program of coercive abortion or involuntary sterilization.”


What a contrast: one of the greatest pro-life Presidents (Trump) against the most pro-abortion duo Joe Biden/Kamala Harris.

The Trump administration on Monday formally proposed a new regulation to broaden the Mexico City Policy barring foreign organizations that receive federal global health funding from promoting or performing abortions overseas even if they do so with other funding sources.

The Department of Defense, General Services Administration and NASA expanded the Mexico City Policy to apply to contracts and subcontracts.

The policy currently enacted and expanded by the Trump administration, a regulation that has been rescinded and reinstated along party lines by presidents since Ronald Reagan, already applies to grants and cooperative agreements between the U.S. and foreign organizations.

And Trump plans to expand the Mexico City policy even more:


A new proposed rule, posted to the Federal Register on Monday, would expand the policy to include military and government contracts overseas.

While the policy previously covered around $600 million in USAID family planning assistance, President Trump directed the State Department to expand it to cover “global health assistance furnished by all departments or agencies” to the extent allowed by the law.

In addition to the Mexico City Policy and vigorously promoting religious liberty throughout the world, President Trump has been hugely active against abortion internationally:
  • withdrew U.S. funding from the abortion-promoting U.N. Population Fund
  • withdrew from pro-abortion UNESCO
  • defunded the Pro-Abortion UNFPA which has been complicit in China’s oppressive population control activities including coerced birth control and abortion

I like the sarcasm.

The funny thing is that, because President Trump’s pro-life achievements are so massive and indisputable, those who try to create a divide between Trump and his supporters question his motives, instead. And President Trump just keeps plugging away, unapologetically advancing Life, knowing that this is one of the main reasons leftist media consistently and dishonestly attacks him.
