The stimulus checks and debit cards were sent by mail. Along with a letter signed by Trump that went out separately.

Also the census went out by mail. No issues.

Now it post office can’t handle mail in ballots?

I have come to the opinion that states should require people should have to re-register for presidential elections every four years. Especially if they are going to require all sorts of other hoops for new voters, make everyone a new voter every 4 years.

I am all in favor of absentee ballots by mail. One has to follow a process to get one. At this point in time, the post office is absolutely not prepared to process the volumes of mail that would be a result of mail in voting, not to mention that there is no way to legitimize the voter. Planning for this kind of thing takes a long time and to just throw it to the wind in a hurry smacks of fraud to me.

Except this has been known as a possibility since the primaries first started. Instead of gearing up like they do for the Christmas rush, they have been doing the exact opposite.

If the Postmaster General can’t figure out when there might be increased need for postal services – like after Thanksgiving, around April 15, around the end of January (when employers and other organizations send out tax information), coupon days, voting season, maybe they should not accept the position.

Benjamin Franklin would not be impressed.

“President Donald Trump said Thursday that he opposes much-needed funding for the United States Postal Service because he doesn’t want to see it used for mail-in voting this November.”

While he himself votes by mail.

And told Florida to vote by mail

If Republicanism is so wonderful I think that they should spend more time getting adherents than they do trying to hinder the vote.

As someone already mentioned, the post office seemed to handle the stimulus checks okay…and the separate letter everyone got from Trump.

We need international election monitors here for the US November election.

I wonder that all the time.

Immigrants from Latin America are more likely to be Catholic and prolife for example.

But instead of trying to allow them to immigrate easily and become citizens, it’s better to put them in detention centers and take their kids away for requesting asylum.
