Trump slams ‘anti-Catholic’ Democrats at virtual Al Smith event – Jaweb​

President Trump made an explicit appeal for Catholic votes Thursday evening while claiming anti-Catholic bigotry “predominates” the Democratic Party.

Trump delivered the broadside remotely in pre-taped remarks streamed into the Archdiocese of New York’s Al Smith 75th annual fundraiser — a traditional dinner that was turned into an unprecedented virtual event because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Trump labeled the Democratic Party as anti-Catholic just moments after his Democratic rival for the presidency, former Vice President Joe Biden, a Catholic, spoke.

No doubt they caught the virus from their exposure to Hope Hicks, and now there is the job of contact tracing between Hope and all the others she came in contact with in the last few days, as well as the President’s contacts, which include, among many others, Joe Biden on the debate stage this past Tuesday.

I think no matter what one’s feelings toward Trump may be, prayers for him and Melania are in order, as well as prayers for our country and its people.

It’s like the Democrats want to eliminate Catholics from participating in the public square.

Seems to me it’s worse than that. If, as the Wikileaks tapes demonstrate, the DNC supports dissident “Catholic” organizations, it’s the Church itself the DNC wants rid of.
 
They want to eliminate Catholics who take their faith seriously…cause they be fine with Joe and AOC but not Barrett cause she is a model Catholic

There is no anti-catholic bigotry.

We have a tale of two Catholics.
Biden and Amy
Biden Catholicism is “welcomed” by the “world”
Amy Catholicism is “unwelcome” by the world.

Reminds me of the movie “Silence”, it is a matter of what then? It is not bigotry, it has to be something else.

Biden is Catholic, and so is Amy. One is welcomed and not the other.
