Protests/riots the exist today, far more violent than in the past.
Have you actually seen the protests from the late 60’s? In 1968, there were two assignations and the Tet offensive. All of that prior to the Democratic National Convention!
There is no responsibility taken by the protesters for the riots.
That is a rather blanket falsehood. I have seen numerous times when protesters have helped police and stopped violence. This is a big country. It needs a more precise brush.
Having parents, aunts and uncles who were students in the 1960s, including an uncle who was politically active and jailed in '68, I get zero sense from them. of ‘protesters today are much more violent than they were then’.

I guess that means you can’t answer the question?
Anarchy is lawless, destructive and corrupt. There is no point of getting into an argument with an anarchist. It will just be a waste of my time.

I wish you well…

Maybe we just don’t want to.
It’s too aggravating to have to explain it to some folks.

Tell you what, Ruthann. Here’s why anarchy is bad:

You spend 20 years building a business from the ground up: paying the mortgage on a site; courting customers; being active in the chamber of commerce; employing some people so they have livelihood, whatever.

I’ll march up one day; scream “you oppress me…anarchy forever!” While wearing a mask; throw a lit gasoline bomb into the window, and burn the whole place down, destroying your business and everything you worked for.

When you call the police I’ll throw a gas bomb at them too.

When you call the fire department I’ll have my friends stand in from of their rig and prevent them from putting the fire out.

Enjoy anarchy!

Those are not anarchists. That’s the same as me putting on robes and declaring that I’m the pope.

I suggest you learn what anarchy is … and isn’t.

Well, anarchists in Seattle declared
Themselves a country.

You’re wrong. I’m right.

Randolph was right too - best not waste further God-given time responding.

In my jurisdiction if you commit an assault on anyone over 65 it is an aggravating factor-
hmmmm just his age should have kept him at home social distancing in the midst of the Corona virus…

All these wouldn’t have happened if one police officer hadn’t put his knee on the neck of an already clearly incapacitated man and held it there long enough for the man to die.

All this in front of bystanders. This same cop who has had several complaints lodged against him. Brazenly killing someone in front of witnesses while staring at the camera. If that isn’t brazen, I don’t know what is. This is not just the case of one bad apple but the entire police department who is more than willing to cover up and enable this cop to go on until he commits murder.
And did all this happen in a Democratic controlled area? Did one of the Presidential Candidates have the opportunity to deal with said cop who put his knee on said victim? Let’s see… what was her name? Amy K??? I just heard … And since she didn’t take action, and the Democratic mayor didn’t take action, and the Democratic governor didn’t take action, the whole world is on fire.

Suddenly seems like a conspiracy theory. Ok guys you know it’s going to happen one more time. The next time it happens let’s call for a world wide protest. Do you know anyone with extra funds who would back us on this??? We could keep it going until November–maybe???

Yes, Shakuhachi. He has better things to do. I heard he was busy reading biographies of past presidents.

Then it is no wonder communication cannot exist. You do not use the same language. That definition is what appears in every dictionary, assuming you know how a dictionary works, and its importance as a standard of communication. Without a common language, everything is just “Bar, bar, bar, blah, blah.”

So, I linked a definition. Can you link a resource to that says otherwise?

Never expect change, at least not from dialogue based in meaningless blah, blah, blah, which is all you are saying when you reject reason and sense. Fortunately, most of the current movement to social justice is outside of Seattle and outside of the sphere of anarchist and criminals. There are plenty of articulate leaders that are arising to make real sense to the rest of the country.

I’ve been an anarchist for many years. I know who anarchists are. I live with them. You are clueless.
