If you have read any posts lately submitted by me, you will know that we have a 15 mo with another one due at Christmas. My husband dropped his classes mid-way thru the semester (this is the 3rd attempt at school and the 3rd time to drop classes). It was after the deadline, so we will not be getting a refund.
Recently he put in for a better-paying job at work, and if that one didn’t pan out, there was another one he would try for. This week someone higher up was let go, so these jobs have been put on hold.
Praise be to God that we were able to reach a settlement on some of our medical expenses very quickly. I had a foot injury at the beginning of September and shortly after, my husband had a staph infection. Thanks be to God, nothing serious, but the bills are piling up. I do not have enough PTO for maternity leave, nor do we have enough savings to pay our bills.
Please God, I am praying for a miracle. My husband is a convert and struggling right now, so prayer is the furthest thing from his mind, although I may just start pulling him aside every now and then for a simple Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be.
Saying the 3-Hail Mary Novena right now as well as daily prayers for my husband and trying to make stations of the cross w/ my little one several times a week. Will start up a novena to St.Rita again.
We are both struggling with work. He is on overload, working long hours (hopefully this will help our finances a little) and really hates being there at this time - others are not pulling their weight. I am having a hard time now that my son is old enough and at a very delightful stage. My longing to be at home is growing stronger and making it harder for me to be at work and do my honest best. There are a lot of changes going on at my office which may result in job loss in the next year (we’ve known this for a year) and with the employees who have left lately that are not being rehired, the work load is piling up on everyone. The office morale is very low and I wish I could lift up my co-workers and be a light to them, but I am struggling too.
I am a bit of a control freak, so I that is adding to my cross right now. First and foremost, and if nothing else, I just need help bearing my cross with grace - feeling very selfish and spiteful towards others right now and bitter about our situation. Please help me to be gracious to my husband who is busting his hump for us and patience and trust in God and above all - FAITHFULNESS!!! God Bless You all and thank you in advance for your thoughts and prayers.
