I’d ask the angels “am I worthy to enter this door?” Because if heaven’s angel can not lie, the answer has to be NO. Of course I am not worthy of entering the Kingdom of Heaven. If hell’s angel will always lie, he will say, “Yes, of course you are worthy of entering my door” Which I know is not true. Problem solved. I think 🙂 LOL

That is almost, exactly what I posted (post #21). I support the above reply. Please see my post below:
Planten post #21:
If the person (visitor) says to the angel of hell “May I enter the door.” the satan will say No. That is because he has to tell a lie. He wants him to enter hell. But he will tell lie and say “No you cannot enter there.”
If the person says to the angel guarding the door of heavens “May I enter the door please?” The angel will say yes, please do. So the person will enter heavens.
I do not know if I said the right thing.
The person could say to Satan “Should I enter this door please?” The Satan will say “No.”
To the same question, the angel of Heavens will say “Yes.”
Let us hope, we are near to the answer by now.

‘Is this the door to hell?’
one will say yes,
and one will say no,
go with the one that says no.
The good angel will say no (he’s telling the truth), the angel of Satan will lie and say “no”. Try again.

Or perhaps since one of the guardian of the doors cannot tell the truth, then perhaps the identical question to ask both of them is → Is it hot in Hell?
LOL would only work if you knew for a fact that hell contained fire. It could very well be as Dante as said, could have ice/snow. While it can burn you, it isn’t hot. 😉

Is Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, in there?

The good angel will joyfully say yes!
The bad angel will tremble just the mention of the Lord’s name!

Ok new questions for this posting:

**Is the Pope Catholic? **
The Good Angel…Yes,
The Devils Angel…No

Problems solved…guess which door I choose. 🙂

Or how about this:

Is Jesus the Son of God?
The Good Angel…Yes
TheDevils…No

Was Peter the First Pope, Chosen by Jesus?
The Good Angel…Yes
The Devils Angel…No

Ok one more question…for the two of them.

Is the Catholic Church the Church that Jesus founded?
The Good Angel…Yes
The Devils Angel…No. (after all we’d expect this answer from the Devil, he can’t tell the truth.)

oh gee I’m on a roll now…

Would I be happy in Hell?
The Good Angel…No
The Devils Angel…Yes (after all if he can only “lie” of course Anyone is not going to be “Happy” in Hell. Of course some may end up there, but I highly doubt they’ll be happy once they get there. So of course the Devil has to say Yes.

Ok I can see now, there is no right answer…all we have to do is think about a question that the Devil Can’t answer the same as the Angel.

I think the riddle is wrong. We’re supposed to be able to ask only one question - not two, one of each guard.

The OP appears to have no intention of telling us the particular answer he was thinking of, and since many have given several answers that work, the riddle is solved. 👍

Nope sorry, its not solved yet!

Sorry i havent been on this forum lately. Here is the answer. And yes if you read it agian it says only one question for both.

Answer: “Which, would the other angel say is the doorway to heaven?”

The angel of God will say the other angel will say the other door (the door to Hell) is the door to Heaven because the angel of God knows the Angel of Satan will always lie.

The Angel of Satan will say the Angel of God will say the other door is the door to Heaven because the Angel of Satan will always lie.

Both Angels will have identified the same door – you then choose the opposite door and you will have the door to Heaven.

sorry this forum doesn’t send me email notifications so i didnt think anyone was answering.

Sounds a lot like my answer though… maybe not exactly the same as I had a no/yes question for an answer, but close enough to be right still… well that’s what I think at least.
Even a little more complicated would be asking whether the other angel would claim to lead one to heaven…
Satan’s angel would lie and say “no”. (The other angel, God’s, would claim to lead one to heaven and be truthful.)
God’s angel would not lie and say “yes”. (The other angel, Satan’s, would claim to lead one to heaven and would lie.)
