Trying to find a Priest with background in Demonology/Exorcism

This is a bit of an odd request, but maybe someone here can help me. I’m trying to find a priest with experience in demonology or exorcism. I have a bit of a problem on my hands, and I need an expert opinion. It should be a Catholic priest (a real one, in Communion with the Pope).

If you happen to be such a priest or if you know of one, or if you can at least point me in the direction of where to find one, please send me a private message.

I posted this on other parts of CAF too; I hope that’s okay. I’m not trying to spam the Forums, and I wanted to be sure that this message would be seen.

Each diocese should have a priest/exorcist who is responsible for such things. You should ask your pastor who that is, or contact your diocesan offices (chancery).

Thanks for your response. I tried to do a little research to help me find one, and I doubt my diocese has an official exorcist. I read that there are only about ten in the whole country; my tiny diocese (Honolulu) probably doesn’t have one, but I will do as you suggest and talk with my priests and chancery. Honestly, I’m a little embarrassed to ask them about something like this; I know people would think I’m being weird, or psychotic, or seeking attention, or whatever. Actually all I really need is just to ask for such an exorcist’s opinion on something, not an exorcism or anything grave like that. If I did, I know the usual course is to ask the Bishop for permission and whatnot so scientific investigations can be done first, but again that’s not something we need, thanks be to God.

Is this in regards to a relative or friend? Or is something haunting your house?
I hope it really is nothing that drastic that you need an exorcist.
Have you check to see if there are any paranormal groups in Hawaii who could help out?

Any one of your friends know a native hawaiian priest or priestess who know what the different island spirits are who might be able to help you out?

I know we all are praying for you and hope that this gets resolved.

I would second PhilotheaZ’s advice. I have met an Priest who is assigned as the Exorcist for his Diocese, and it seemed that those seeking him out would contact the Diocesian Offices seeking an Exorcist. They would take down the information and pass it on to him. If your Diocese has no official assigned Exorcist, they would most likely contact the nearest Diocese who has one assigned. The Bishop is also an Exorcist by virtue of his Office.

It’s my understanding very few Diocese’s have and “Official Exorcist” so finding one in Honolulu may be difficult?

Strongly discourage contacting Native Hawaiian Priests/Priestesses…could make your problem much worse.

Also, Read Ephesians 6: 10-20. You can “Put on the Armor” for your loved ones as well!

Obtain Holy Water and Blessed Salt…plus other Sacramental’s (e.g. Blessed Miracleous Medals, Saint Benedictine Medals and Rosary’s. Very beneficial in many situations.

Finally, as recommeded previously, Confession and Communion are the most powerful form’s of Deliverance!!! Our Sacraments within the Catholic Church are SO POWERFUL, and yet very few understand the GRACE we have been given in them.
