I have read about how to do it but I can’t understand they page I found and I also don’t understand a few abbreviations. In my prayer book in Hail the Holy Queen is a V and a R. What do those mean? Sorry I just realized I put this on the wrong board and can’t figure out how to erase this one.
Verse and Response. Someone will say the first part, the verse, then the rest says the response. When you’re praying it by yourself, you do both parts.

I’ve been saying it by myself recently. Usually, the only time I’d pray it was at funerals. Some people will add other prayers and have other traditions as they pray. Usually here, we add the
Fatima Prayer after the Glory Be between Decades, followed by a couple of others. ("O Sacrament Most Holy, O Sacrament divine, all thanksgiving and praise be every moment thine and lastly “Jesus, Mary and Joseph, we love you, save souls.” )
I noticed the Children of Mary group at my church last week added the prayer to
St. Michael the Archangel and the
Memorare at the end of the rosary. Hope that helps.
