I think Aing has a tendency to take things too literally.

Is it true then that a certain portion of what Catholics are writing here is codswallop and should not be taken seriously?I think Aing has a tendency to take things too literally.
Would David having homosexual relations be more vile than committing adultery and intentionally making sure that the husband of the woman he was committing adultery with was killed? What’s particularly vile is when so-called Biblical historians insist that King David was homosexual, or the Apostle Paul was homosexual…or even worse.
Joining in late here.I’m sure there are many good Catholic homosexual couples that’s have raised their children in Catholic faith. It is not for us to judge them, no investigation into anyone’s life is right. We are all sinners. I’m a sinner and so are you. All sins are equal in Gods eyes. So if you took a pen from the bank or slept for a member of the same gender it’s all the same. Jesus wants mercy. We are not to judge, he is. He will judge us the way we judge others.
And that doesn’t work on children.A same-sex couple could say, “this is what we do, we’re Catholics and we know it’s a sin, but we don’t want you to do it.” The old “do as I say, not as I do.”
Respectfully standing with the Church and ask why not??…but can only find online resources saying the Church DOES allow this, and the cautions seems so vague as to pretty much allow this across the board.
That’s a pretty general statement to make. In this case, it would work most of the time. And that doesn’t work on children.
In other words, making the child and his/her baptism a pawn for the priest to force the couple to split. If I was a priest the couple would need to separate before I would agree to baptize the child.
Is it common sense to allow a married SS couple to baptize their children and promise to raise them as faithful practicing Catholics?Common sense should be employed…
