Hi fellow forum members, I ask for prayers that I
will be ABLE to turn my life around for the better.
You see, I was raised in a VERY loving and un-
conditionally acceptance by my parents, and so
I looked at their generosity with disdain and took
it for granted that they will always give me what
I wanted. That transferred me to look at GOD as
unconditionally giving me what I want. Also NOW,
I realized that God’s Love is covenanting and I
must live a life WORTHY of Him. Also, I must
be focusing on who I love and care about and that
can be a powerful and motivating force in my life
for doing what I KNOW will be good for MYSELF.

(Thanks for this opportunity to express my thots)

So, pIease pray that I’ll be able to focus on the
people in my life I love and care about instead
of having to think about those who DON’T give
a hoot about me and my enemies who are many
(at least one of them wants me dead). And that
I will USE this to turn my life around(for the
better).“For the praise and glory of Christ’s Name,
for our good and the good of ALL His holy Church”

But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular (GLam8833), and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise you, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to you. Heavenly Father, I love You, I praise You, and I worship You. I thank You for sending Your Son Jesus Who won victory over sin and death for my salvation. I thank You for sending Your Holy Spirit Who empowers me, guides me, and leads me into fullness of life. Praying for you. God’s love is unconditional. That is part of the Catholic faith. The prodigal son did the same thing by disdaining his Father, taking his inheritance and moving off into the world where love was very conditional. In the world our experience of love is very conditional. If you perform well then you are loved . If you don’t then you are not loved. This is not God. But we project this onto God. Maybe your parents were very permissive. But that is different than unconditional love. It is because God loves us that he disciplines us. Because it yields the fruit of righteousness. Everything that God does though is because he loves us. When the prodigal son returned the father did not condemn him or make him earn forgiveness, which is what the son expected. The son expected to work as a slave to earn back his debt to his father. But, instead the Father gave his son a ring and threw a big party. This is not what would have been expected to happen. God doesn’t operate like the world does. His ways are not our ways.
