Just my little rant and frustration.

I scan through the religious programing on my satalite tv and find many protestant preachers either conducting their services or, for most of them, doing a bible study for an hour. But,WHERE ARE THE CATHOLIC PRIESTS/DEACONS/LAY TEACHERS?

Yes, I watch EWTN, but sadly, most of their bible/Holy Mass teachings are on at impossible times for me to watch, 2am for one of them. And to be honest, the network does not offer much in the way of these programs. Thankfully, Jeff Cavin has been doing his bible study program, but again, the times are not always good for me.

Where is the Catholic religious programing? We need another Bishop Sheen, we need someone who teaches faithfully what the Church teaches, both through Sacred Tradition and the Holy Bible, and we need more then just one or two networks, God bless EWTN for being their for us.

I’ve never really watched any Catholic religious programmes, I didn’t even know any existed until I read about EWTN here.

Have you thought about maybe trying to record the programmes that are at bad times for you? A lot of tv providers nowadays offer recording options as part of their packages.

EWTN is now All-Media, including internet, smartphone; can be copied for later viewing and reasearched. It has been an awesome Learning tool also for me, including Biblical: Fr Mitch Pacwa long ago: The Apostles began The Sign of Peace Then, to unify the disparate feelings of the early congregations of the Apostles Last Supper Feast (Mass): The Eastern local custom double Face greeting, still Celebrated at Vatican Masses, brought back as “Peace be with you” handshake option. It was brought back by The Vatican Council II, after much strong research on the early Church. The Eucharist in Hand (Option) is also return to Earliest Church: Consercrated Bread in Hand Custom. :bible1: EWTN is Also a major Research site, as is Catholic Snswers also. Our Bible Preachers Always Avoid Early Church History: Last Supper Feast (Mass) and Real Presence Eucharist from Earliest times; No Bibles to read/preach from until the Gutenburg Bible, and Martin Luther removing 7 OT Books, and he removing “Works” from Romans on being Saved; Faith alone is Contrary to Bible Teaching: Repentence/Restititution, and Forgiveness of Sins by God, Through the apostolic Powers Priest: John 20:23. www.realcatholictv.com

Not only the free stuff, but HUNDREDS of hours on the Premium Channel. Good solid Catholic teaching. Apologetics, Bible study, Spiritual enrichment, homilies, retreats, and more and more.

More and more people are getting their information online today than they do on the TV. So don’t limit yourself to only what is found on the television.

You might also try EWTN’s You-Tube Channel that you can reach from the EWTN site. You might find what you are looking for there.

I do agree that EWTN, for all the good that they try to do, doesn’t have the most convenient programming, but then again, they could never please everyone…

If you have specific suggestions, might I suggest that you e-mail them directly?

Peace

I think you would have to purchase Tim Staples CD’s from Catholic Answers to get what you are looking for. Also, you could listen to Tim and others on the previous radio broadcasts in their archives that are free. EWTN has a lot of devotionals and, of course, Mass on their TV show but not as much bible study. Scott Hahn or Tim Gray sometimes have shows on various topics on EWTN that are excellent.

I agree completely. The best few dollars I have ever spent. I try to listen to one of Michael Voris’ talks at least once a day.

The problem I have is that although downloading is easy the programs can’t be burned to disks. It means if you want your family to watch the program they all have to stand around the computer which is not really practical. I have conversion software (ConvertXtoDVD and also Cucusoft) but they are not able to burn these programs to a disk. It might be the programs have something in them to prevent that but if so, what’s the point in downloading if its restricted to computer only viewing.
Any suggestions would be welcome.
