The movie Frequency starred Jim Caviezel, who is a staunch Christian. (he has a great speech on Youtube in which he discusses his role as Christ in The Passion, and the importance of his faith). It’s one of my favorite movies.

So I am enjoying watching the TV series that they’ve made based on the movie, but am very disappointed in one respect. A dozen shows in, we are introduced to the villain, a serial killer who happens to be a Bible quoting Christian, deacon in his church, and ties rosaries around his victims. It’s really disappointing, especially since the scriptures he quotes are some of the most important regarding salvation, and the mercy of God.

I guess it’s another attempt by Hollywood to paint us as crazies. Any thoughts? Is there any point in writing in to anyone?
Sure, evil people exist in every religion, but this just seems like bash Christian season politically, and stuff like this just makes it worse.

I have never heard of this movie or TV show. Sounds like typical Hollywood.

Oh man, the movie was AMAZING, and Jim did a fantastic job with it.

I haven’t seen the show, but given it’s inconsistencies with the movie right off the bat that I’ve seen from trailers (a daughter instead of a son, first of all), I’m not surprised. I’m also very disappointed in their chosen villain - Hollywood ran out of ideas, and they turned to the easiest scapegoat they always turn against; Christianity. :banghead:

It’s always worth looking into somebody to write to!

The CW did not renew this show, and it is currently pending cancellation:

Interesting.
They pretty much summed up the movie plot in the first season, because how many times can you catch the villain and lose him again, even if you’re doing it in the past and the present also?

But as was said, the original movie is great family fare, focused on baseball and the importance of family.
I liked that the hero tipped off his boyhood friend to buy shares in, what was it?-- Yahoo, and next we see he’s grown up with a new Mercedes with YAHOO on the license.
