Just wondered if anyone else on here has watched a show called “Srugim”? It’s an Israeli show that started in 2008. I watch it for free using my amazon prime account. Anyway, it follows a group of singles looking for love / marriage in modern-day Jerusalem, but the characters are all leading what they call a “religious” lifestyle (as opposed to secular Judaism, I suppose). They observe pretty strict religious / lifestyle rules (eating kosher, clothing guidelines, not touching the opposite sex, carefully observing the Sabbath), and a lot of the show is how that religious lifestyle can be lived in a modern, partly secular city.
It’s a really cute show - - and what a refreshing change from typical American trashy tv. I highly recommend it! (but I’m only up to episode 6 so far).
