I found this site and was really suprised about what you can find on DVDs today.

Are any of your favorites listed, and what are they?

I bought *“The Andy Griffith Show” *for me and “The Rifleman” for DH.
Just one DVD of each though. Too much of anything gets boring.
 
I haven’t watched much TV in the last few years because I think most of the shows that are on today are not worth the time to watch them. Most of my favorite TV shows are from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. The only exception for a current run TV show that I like is the Gilmore Girls. I hope to add a few more titles to my collection as soon as some new ones are released. The shows I have on DVD are:

Dukes of Hazzard (ooh I loved John Schneider when I was 10)

And we got our daughter the Wonder Woman Series. Never realized what a feminist agenda that show had til ya watch it as adults. Totally goes right over the kids heads.

I told my husband our daughter is going to have a very different memory of childhood shows then other kids her age. We don’t watch regular TV so she’s growing up on our childhood shows of the 70’s and 80’s.🙂 We have a free 2 week trial to netflix and I just ordered Punky Brewster for our daughter.

I wish they had JAG on DVD. One of the few shows I miss watching on TV when we had it.

Our Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys DVD set came with a Shaun Cassidy/Parker Stevenson poster. My daughter promptly hung on her bedroom wall. I have a flashback when ever I see it. Santa filled my stocking with Shaun Cassidy stuff one Christmas -I think my 16 year old sister helped a little.😉
 
Hubby has the first couple seasons of CSI. And a whole bunch of Mystery Science Theater. (that stuff is great) Oh, and Dukes of Hazzard and Knight Rider, I think for nostalgia reasons. His parents bought him ‘24’ too last Christmas I think. (he has so many dvd’s, and he’s always trading with his brother so I never know what’s ours anymore 😛 ) And South Park seasons 1-4. :rolleyes:

I would like to have Full House ( my kind of nostalgia, lol) and maybe anther old 80’s sitcom one…Cosby show or something. Though I could just watch Nick at Nite I guess for that. 🙂
 
Thanks Edwin. I really wanted to see the final season of Ballykissangel which was shown on PBS. And I wanted a copy of Robin of Sherwood which is out in Europe but alas not here. Guilty pleasures: Lost in Space and Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea.

Yes! Darkwing Duck is coming out on DVD! I loved that show when I was a kid!
“I am the terror the flaps in the night! I am the weedwacker in the garden of evil! I am Darkwing Duck!”
That guy had the best entrances.
But there’s an awful lot out already I do want. I’m already saving up for Thundercats, one of my all-time favorite cartoons. I can still quote Mumm-ra’s incantation verbatim: “Ancient spirits of evil, transform this decayed form to MUMM-RA THE EVER-LIVING! insert great evil laugh”

Roseanne, Survivor, The Sopranos, Cops and Dog The Bounty Hunter on A&E. my birthday is Feb.22 maybe I will luck out and get some of them!

I just got the 7th. season of the Simpsons.
I think they might be putting out 2 seasons per year.
 
I’ve got all of Lost In Space (including the movie)

Planet of the Apes (just preordered the cartoon series and have all the movies)
everything Brady Bunch and Partridge Family to date
getting Growing Pains
might get Bewitched and I Dream Of Jeannie
and let’s not forget Star Trek(the whole original series, almost all of the Next Generation-waiting on the last 2 seasons to be delivered, and the first season of Deep Space Nine)

Of course I want everything Star Trek but will have to budget properly. The animated series is rumored to be released in September of this year.

There’s alot more I would love to get but I’m on a low income.😦
