THE NANNY!!! (season 2 better come out soon) 😃

Just Shoot Me
Nip/Tuck
Everybody Loves Raymond
Scrubs
Arrested Development
There are more I can’t think of.

In order of precedence:

House
Battlestar Galactica
Lost

House is definitely my favorite, because he reminds me so much of my father, who is a surly and irascible oncologist in his own right.

Family Guy (perhaps the best satirical show ever?)

South Park (up there with family guy)

Simpsons

Frasier

Aqua Teen Hunger Force (yeah, I’m a college student)

Neon Genesis Evangelion (used to be into anime a bit)

prolly others in there somewhere, but those are my favorites.

I’m addicted to Norman Lear commedies from the seventies! My family is a die-hard All in the Family fan, and have collected all five seasons pretty much the day they were released! That’s probably all I’ll buy since season 6 on is when Gloria and the Meat-head moved out. It just wasn’t that funny anymore. . .

For the number-one sitcom of all time, I think they could have done a little better job on presenting it DVD: There are no extras, only season one has subtitles, they kept the original mono audio mix, and the colors look really funny for season four.

This website allows you to vote for your favorite series to be released on dvd. Does anyone know if there is one to vote for movies? After all there alot of movies I’m waiting for that aren’t out there on dvd yet.

I do not think there is any TV show on DVD that I would want in a collection. Not worth the money.

Mystery Science Theater 3000: just about anything they have on DVD. I quote entire segments. (my all time favs: Pod People, Space Mutiny, Cave Dwellers, Overdrawn at the Memory Bank, and The Final Sacrifice (taped from TV))

Firefly: yeeeeehaw!

Aqua Teen Hunger Force: crude? Yep. Reprehensible? Certainly. Low brow? Of course! But if you watch carefully, you will see in Master Shake the most biting commentary on the idiot relativists that we meet everyday on the street.

Family Guy season 2: Very funny but entire episodes can be unwatchable.

Futurama: ditto

Want:

All of Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Angel season 3 and 4
La Femme Nikita 4 and 5
All of Northern Exposure
All the rest of Mystery Science Theater 3000

and probly a lot more heh
I’m so glad to see another Northern Exposure fan. I run a message board called Friends of NX, if you’re interested I’ll send you the addy. We are a very small community, but in almost five years of existence we’ve(DH and I) only had to ban one user and we’ve only had one “dust up” where the person ‘left’ in a huff. Would love to see you join our little virtual community.

add law and order svu (season 5) to that… just got it yesterday

And here are some I want on DVD in my lifetime:
  • Dinosaucers
  • You Can’t Do That on TV (you’d think Alanis Morrissette’s star power would make it happen, either that or its huge fanbase)
  • Liquid Television (not just Beavis and Butthead and Aeon Flux. I want it all!
  • Celebrity Deathmatch (this was MTV’s funniest show!)
  • War of the Worlds: TV series
  • The Tomorrow People

My husband bought me Punky Brewster for Christmas. It was one of my favorites growing up. I was always complaining that it’s never on TVLand. I wouldn’t mind having Scrubs and Little House on the Prairie. Also, all the 80’s after school specials are on DVD. What fun! 😛

For some reason, Little House on the Prairie always felt better dubbed in Japanese than in its original English. This is odd for me because I am otherwise staunchly against any sort of dubbing.

In fact, I only vote “anti-dubbing.”
