TV: "Supernatural"

My opinion is they use all catholic tools to expel demons, which prove to audiences that the God of our Church is the one true god and only he has the power to expel evil, the use of rosaries, crucifixes and holy water as the means to expel demons only reinforces we are the only faith with the authority to fight demons, my opinion great show, sure mixed signals because of different monsters besides demons but we are the one they use to defeat satan, not to mention our exorcisms

It’s theologically loose, but I like it. I have the unfortunate ability to relate probably too well with a lot of it. IMO it was better in the first 3 seasons before all the sappy stuff.

If you have an ear to hear what a “SPIRIT” sayeth unto your ears…If you are/or can be blind, then one can hear the love of “any” story! However…If one is not either…then "that"one may need to read “all” the books of Enoch! If you have the “power” to cast out demons, then you can hear love, and not only that…all “titles” are gone, for they do not enter. But if one is in the middle, and seeking truth…then read and understand the Word of God, for when you seek food and thirst for it…it shall be given, with a heart of contrition! I’d say study your Lords prayer…(seek His Prayer He gave to YOU, in His Word) and read between the lines (yes space and time can bend) Amen…

Beware of satans plan and how “he” works! If one does not know, you should be in the Word of GOD, and seeking His Will, for when you do, He will show you “many” things, and reveal things to you…you have to seek Him. Wisdom of He, will not be given to one, unless one seeks it, but He will give you salvation! But it too, comes only by His BLOOD!. So, when you see Him cometh, you WILL KNOW IT WAS HE! Until then, you shall live by “faith in Him”…If you are deceived, and fill your OWN cup with “sin” then He shall send one to “slay” you into Purgatory! When one has PAID IN FULL, HE will come to you and place you “above”…and when that day cometh, you SHALL KNOW GOD, AND SEE HIM! Keep to HIm afterword, abd dont follow the “world”…Don’t fall again! for that is another death! For the raod to enter is VERY narrow.

So, in nutshell, as to the TV show, Supernatural! Don’t be decieved into seeking “names/confirmations” of who is who ok. Instead, seek the love/thoughfulness in it. Don’t worry about the names/titles, for “they” do not know, and “One” has the Wisdom of knowing that…If you want to know WHO is WHO, then stay in His Word (Bible KJV)…and yes you may read the other books of Enoch which where not cannoized, because they where not found at the time, but they are “GOOD” books!

I used to like it, and it may have good plots etc. but I think it’s pretty gross now.

After the superquick ‘Sam and the Werewolf Girl suddenly decide to tango and do so within the space of thirty seconds’ scene in what I felt was one of the best episodes, I was wary. :tsktsk:

But what finally made me stop watching was when the show began with Sam (the better one) going back to the hotel room with chips etc. He opened the door, just to see multiple silhouettes through the curtain in front of the motel door of Dean (his brother) having *** with two women. That he knew. And called the (Last Name) Twins.

Yechh…

I am not feminist, or crazy, but I know that when a show tries to pass off that as average non-religious womanizer behavior, I am out of there.

I like the earlier episodes but i’m not a really big fan.

But my friend loves it! She keeps on talking about how Dean and Cas should be a couple and i keep telling her “THEY ARE NOT GAY!!!”

To be honest, I don’t know. It’s probably much better entertainment than half the shows they show on CW these days, I watched one episode of The Flash, and it was barely passable IMO.
But as entertaining (and genuinely funny) as it can be, something about Supernatural’s always felt a little…off to me for whatever reason. It’s subtle, but I think there’s a deeply anti-religious message that’s embedded throughout the show, that goes beyond the boys’ casual womanizing every few episodes. Wasn’t Season 4 to 5 all about tearing up everything written in the Biblical prophecies, going up against both Heaven and Hell, all in the name of “free will”?

In one of the more recent episodes, Castiel says something to a woman praying in a church, along the lines of, “What if you were to find out that no one is listening? That God had pretty much left, that Heaven had gone out of business?” And isn’t the God in Supernatural AWOL anyway, if not worse? I think in one episode, the Archangel Raphael said something to Sam and Dean like, “God? Didn’t you hear? He’s dead. God is dead.”

Even one of the actors, the one playing Dean, I think, mentioned once in an interview that he was a little nervous about doing some of the episodes, probably having come from a pretty religious family himself… (I think he and his wife might be religious though)
