The same way that guns do not kill people…people do.
But, as Eddie Izzard says, guns help a lot. Just standing there going “Bang!” isn’t going to kill to many people.

OK, but on topic…

I would also be interested to see the quotation by St. Pio regarding the the inventor of T.V.

Yours in Christ,
Thursday

That so called prophecy sounds alot like Medjugorie/Bayside type stuff.

That is the most laughable site I have encountered. The drival of a deluded mind or a liar…

Christ and Mary dont give longwinded diatribes.

Still waiting for that page number from that Padre Pio book btw…

The page is 364 (thank you google books!) I can only read the first paragraph because the book is still under copyright, but it does say: “He increasingly warned that television was destroying…” My search was for “television”+“hell.”
I hope this helps.
Also, this seems to be the page for St. Pio telling the fate of people. At the top of the page, he says J.F.K. was saved.

Yours in Christ,
Thursday

I remember hearing the JFK made it to Confession a few days before his death 🙂

The technology itself is not evil, but humankind quickly put the technology to evil works.

Television technology can be good. It can inform, amaze, create an atmosphere of Christian culture and so on and spread the Gopsel message. It can be used by doctors to perform operations over long distances.

It is meant to be a good thing.

But, of course, it is also put to twisted uses.

Wood iron stone turns out evil for the wicked and good for the righteous.

Way back when I asked a Christian friend if a Caddillac was a good or evil. She simply replied “It depends on how it it used”. The same for television.

Now regards to that St. Mary thing. I don’t know if these visions of and sayings from “St. Mary” are anything but demonic. While I am inclined to agree that the demonic is able to enter homes via television - I think that happened with me - I can remember specifically, a certain sin entering and making its home in my young heart as I watched television way back in the sixites as a toddling child - I still do not trust this “Marianism”. I think it is demonic itself.

Personally, as is, I would live without television. Most of the channels are filled with sin and evil notions.

Are you Catholic? If so, you should know that approved apparitions, including Marian apparitions, are deemed worthy of belief, but one is not required to believe in them. As regards unapproved apparitions–beware, investigations are still underway or no official conclusion has been reached. Now disproved apparitions are the really dangerous ones that no good Catholic should listen to/participate in. It is a wonderful idea for every Catholic to take the time to find out which apparitions are approved and which are not 🙂

Non catholics will think we are crazy "

You better get used to this, because this is what Jesus warned us of, and most of the world already thinks we are crazy because we believe all the churches teachings and that the eucharist is the real body of God. This is no different.

Catholic sam, I don’t know if thats a legit prophecy about television from Patrick, but it sure sounds like the truth. If it is a false visionary the devil can mix falshood with truth, but that qoute sounds absolutely true.

" Lustful spirits enter int homes through tv "

That is so true, also the part about watching ficticious lives creating the way we act and false desires in our hearts.

One huge example of this is the way tv has sucked my innocents from me. I wish to God my parents would of kept me away from cable tv, or al tv for that matter, it truly sucks the innocence from you.

No good it can do is worth losing your innocence.

Its like satan in false apparations saying to pray the rosary. If you mix some good or truth, it doesnt matter because the falsehood outweighs it, or the evil.

peace.
