If the pilot is any judge, this show will be lucky to last one season. The writing was bleh, the acting bleh, and it was nearly as predictable as a jack-in-the-box.

I think it has potential. However, I think they could have used a little restraint. They gave away all of the eggs in the first episode.

I’m just really surprised this is coming out of Hollywood. The similarities between Obama’s campaign and administration and the visitors are astounding. Someone is having a good time…😃
As someone who loved the original I find this comment hilarious…

The first V saga had allot of similarities between the Visitors and the Nazi’s.
Even their symbol resembled a modified swastika. and the whole kids joining up like Hitler’s youth.

I find it funny that it mirrors Obama’s campaign because they really didn’t change much.
draw your own conclusions from that comment.

My problem is the romance between the Priest and the FBI agent. Not physical yet but more like House and his bosses relationship for the first few seasons. As if all it takes is a night away from his Parish for a Priest to let his vows slip.

It is a bit annoying that in the original V you had the screw up teen girl who fell in love with the alien visitor and now its a white boy.
And instead of a Female TV personality getting duped by the V it is now a man.
It seems that the show has fallen into the new method of making White Males into stumbling idiots.
The Priest having to go against the Parishes Ideas and being the dorky sidekick of the FBI agent.

Its sad that a retelling of a Sudo-Nazi series can resemble the Obama champagne so much.

God Bless

Stephen

P.S: next the Pope is going to be one and they had infiltrated the Church for years.
You can almost picture the new Jack Chick track lol sad

In 1983, a group of fascist aliens known as the Visitors arrived on Earth promising goodwill. But they were lying. These reptilian aliens easily took over the planet and almost succeeded in crushing us under their heels. Luckily, an underground resistance was enough to oppose them.
This was the premise for V, a TV series that ran on NBC from 1983-1985. It was a cool miniseries and is most likely available on DVD now. It also launched the career of Robert Englund, infamous for his role as Freddy Krueger in the Elm Street movies.
Now the series has been remade and airs on ABC. If you didn’t watch the pilot on Tuesday, I urge you to go online and do it now. (Assuming they have that capability on the homepage.) The remake appears to be faithful to the original and even has the same people writing it. I watched the pilot when it aired and I was immediately hooked. I enjoyed the first run of V and am eager to see how things go this time.
The first four episodes have already aired. They are supposed to air it after the Olympics, but the ratings for episode 3 weren’t all that great, so I don’t know if they’ll make anymore. (darn hiatuses:takethat:) You can also catch all 4 eps on Hulu.

This does look very interesting! Although I’m upset with their portrayal of the Church, or at least what’s been said about it, since I haven’t watched it myself (I think for this reason:o)

Do the aliens still have the little finger that won’t bend that gives them away? I always thought that was a pretty dumb thing for them to overlook.

Oops. Was that a different alien series? I’m seeing Roy Thinnes now that I think about it. I was addicted to V but maybe getting my series confused.
