Twitter is blocking users from sharing links to lawyer Sidney Powell’s lawsuit relating to widespread voter fraud in the 2020 Presidential election.

A number of users across Twitter have reported being unable to share links to lawyer Sidney Powell’s lawsuit relating to voter fraud in the 2020 Presidential election. When attempting to share the link to the document, users receive a notification stating that the link has been identified as “potentially harmful.”

Twitter’s policy on blocking links states: “At times, Twitter will take action to limit or prevent the spread of URL links to content outside Twitter. This is done by displaying a warning notice when the link is clicked, or by blocking the link so that it can’t be Tweeted at all.”

The platform describes the categories of links it will block:
  • Malicious links such as malware and phishing
  • Spammy and misdirecting links
  • Links that break Twitter rules on such topics as terrorism, child sexual exploitation, illegal goods, hateful conduct, violence, etc.
  • Hacked Materials
Twitter also claims it will block links that include “Content that interferes with civic and election integrity.” The example given in this category is: “Misleading information about how to vote or register to vote.” It is not yet clear if Twitter is justifying its censorship of a filed lawsuit based on this policy. . . .

Twitter claims it has reversed ban of link to Sidney Powell’s Georgia election lawsuit

Plaintiffs seek to decertify the state’s 2020 election results

Twitter claims it has reversed its censorship of a link to the lawsuit filed by attorney Sidney Powell that seeks to change the outcome of Georgia’s 2020 election results.

The lawsuit, filed on Wednesday evening, alleges multiple constitutional violations, citing experts, fact witnesses and statistical improbabilities within the results. The plaintiffs seek to decertify the 2020 election results in the state and have Trump declared the winner.

Twitter says it sometimes takes action to block links to content outside Twitter. Links are blocked if they are deemed to be malicious and used to steal personal information, spam that mislead people or disrupt their experience or violate Twitter’s rules.

Twitter, and other technology companies including Facebook and Google, have in recent months come under fire from Republican lawmakers who argue the companies unfairly target posts from conservatives.

CEO Jack Dorsey testified earlier this month that between Oct. 27 and Nov. 11 Twitter labeled or removed 300,000 false or misleading tweets about the election. More than 50 tweets from President Trump have been labeled since Election Day.

I think every time Twitter pulls these stunts they continue to hemorrhage more and more users.

I’m kind of surprised they are still doing this kind of thing AFTER the election. . . . But then again, this (the fact that they pulled this in the first place) suggests to me THEY think the election might NOT be over.

It is worth noting on a Catholic forum that Jack Dorsey was raised a Catholic and his uncle is a Catholic priest.

Jack Dorsey’s twitter , Zuckerberg’s Face book and MSM outlets are all wrong to accuse President Trump of false allegations regarding the ongoing investigation into presidential voter fraud…outrageous …they should all be held accountable for this massive divisive brainwash.

If they had said anything false about him, he would be able to prosecute for defamation. The president has demonstrated that he has little hesitation in taking someone to court.

That said, Twitter has at worst labeled some of his tweets as misleading. Facebook put links to correct information. There’s not anything in that for which a defamation claim can be made.

Is ANYBODY here claiming this is “defamation”??

I just did a word search ThinkingSapien and you are the only poster to use this term here.

It’s a very simple technique of the left:
  1. Demand that plaintiffs reveal their evidence to journalists before they do so in court
  2. Silence plaintiffs and their supporters
  3. Claim that therefore the plaintiffs have no evidence

Demand that plaintiffs reveal their evidence to journalists before they do so in court
Why do you have that belief? A person is free to present to a court and not the public, or present to the public and not the courts, or present to both in what ever order they prefer.

Whether a person, the public, or court, there may be a request to substantiate claims.
Silence plaintiffs and their supporters
Generally, an individually can’t stop another from filing a complaint in court.
Claim that therefore the plaintiffs have no evidence
This makes me think of something inwas watching on TV this past sunday. There was a man that was telling people that he could levitate. They asked to see him levitate, but he always refused. Some started to accuse him of not being able to levitate.

Have you not seen the constant mantra from the left demanding that the Trump campaign produce the evidence, as if they had some obligation to show evidence to the public before the court hearings?

I’ve only seen “demands” in the sense of “request.” Such request are not specific to a political leaning.

I’m afraid I don’t follow you here. You talking about the order in which parties are presented with supportive evidence (public vs court). But given that court filings become part of the public record, I don’t think these two are completely separate. Presenting something to the court also has the effect of presenting to the public.

Further, there have already been hearings. In many of the hearings, not only is there not anything that meets the rules of evidence presented, some of the court filings don’t even make a claim for the court to consider.

Twitter shoulder-shrugs over murder of Catholic Priest statements
but a politically-associated lawsuit associated with Sidney Powell is serious stuff
to the secularists at Twitter.

Firestorm on Twitter in Spain after trending topic calls for burning priests

ROSARIO, Argentina – Despite restrictions on hate speech on social media in Spain, a trending hashtag calling for Catholic priests to be burned alive was not removed for violating rules against posting calls for violence. . . .

I said brainwash…actually…more accurately…just more propaganda.

Few have been leading the fight publicly as much as people like John Guandolo and others. They have been persecuted and ostracized and falsely categorized along the way.

You also said “accuse Trump of making false allegations.”

Has he not said things that are false?

This is the stuff that the media loves to distort and report on in a bias way.

I am not able to ‘entertain’ you with more. MSM is sufficient at doing that for you.

A “yes” or “no” would have been a sufficient response. But okay. :woman_shrugging:t4:

You know you’re over the target regarding exposure of the left’s dishonesty when twitter and facebook block only one side of the issue.
