  1. “For the creation was subjected to frustration not by its own choice, but by will of the one who subjected it, in hope…” Who is the “one” Paul speaks of
  2. “Star differs from star in splendor. So will it be with the resurrection of the dead.” How can one body have more glory than another?

I went for a walk thinking about this, and realized that maybe it was Adam who subjected creation, knowing his sin would cause frustration in it, but had hope that his garden would one day be restored. That’s beautiful. And perhaps there is no way for us to know how glory will shine in our bodies…🙂

I’m guessing you’re talking about Romans 8:20, but I had a hard time finding it because I use the DRV.“Romans 8:20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him that made it subject, in hope:”
In this chapter, Paul is talking about the differences between living by the OT Law (according to the flesh), and living by the Law of Christ (according to the spirit). I think he means that the Jews were only subject to the Old Law (of the flesh) while they waited in hope of the coming Savior. But, those who follow Jesus are now subject to the New Law of Christ, which is the law of the spiritual life. So, in your quote, “the one” would be God, Who gave the Law to Moses. At least, that’s what I think it means, but I could be wrong.

Again, from the DRV:"1 Corinthians 15: [41] One is the glory of the sun, another the glory of the moon, and another the glory of the stars. For star differeth from star in glory. [42] So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption, it shall rise in incorruption. [43] It is sown in dishonour, it shall rise in glory. It is sown in weakness, it shall rise in power. [44] It is sown a natural body, it shall rise a spiritual body. If there be a natural body, there is also a spiritual body, as it is written: [45] The first man Adam was made into a living soul; the last Adam into a quickening spirit. "
There are varying degrees of glory in Heaven, because there are varying degrees of holiness (enlightenment) in all of us. The most holy Saints will have much greater glory in Heaven, and will ‘shine’ very brightly. Some of us will only have a small flicker of light in comparison to them. Our differences in glory will not affect our own happiness in any way, because we’ll all still be perfectly happy.
