I received the following email today from a friend:
This is from Michelle. Please read below. Nick is Michelle’s 17 yr. old son and this email is in reference to his teammate and friend.
On the same sad note, I saw an old friend this weekend and his step-son, 26yr. old named Wade, also tried committing suicide by hanging himself. He was unsuccessful as his grandmother found him in time. This young man is very troubled and is an alcoholic.

4/5/08 - Please pray hard for something for me. Last night when I got home I found out why Nick’s coach called the practice mandatory. One of the boys on the team tried to commit suicide. He shot himself in the head. He is well liked by everyone, was the team captain, has lots of friends, comes from a devout Catholic family that goes to my church, and no one can make any sense of this. He is in critical condition at Mott hospital. If he survives, his injuries are devastating. I cried all night and had the hardest time pulling myself together to do the talks today. Please pray for some kind of miracle for him, and miraculous strength for his family. Especially his mom. She heard the shot and was the one who found him. Now that I am home and done with my obligations, I am a wreck too.
Thanks, I know your prayers will help.
4/7/08 - Please intensify your prayers for Chad. He almost died Saturday morning. They lost his blood pressure and struggled to stabilize him again. I can’t even express how hard this has hit all of us. I have cried almost non stop all weekend. For some reason I can’t explain, I feel hopeful in my spirit about the outcome. Doesn’t make any rational sense at all, but I feel this…so keep praying for a miracle. Thanks Susan…Michelle
Please pray for these families. This is so horrifying and sad.
