I was wondering if it was appropriate to pray two mysteries in one day? Sometimes I feel the need to go overtime, and then other days I’m awfully tired.

BTW, why isn’t there a rosary section or a sacramentals section? Seems like it’d be a good idea.

Yes, it’s appropriate. And you may pray them all if you wish. Or just a decade.

I used online rosaries for a while but I prefer saying my rosary in my bed.

I actually just got a nice rosary from Regina Caeli Rosaries. It’s a ladder rosary with hematite beads, with a nice St. Michael medal for the centerpiece.

I highly recommend.

The Rosary is a private devotion (but very much recommended) and so you can pray it however you want. You are not bound by anything.

It is good, if you are in the mood, to even say all fifteen decades in one day.

I must advise, however, that it would pay to be careful not to push yourself too much as this can sometimes be a snare of the enemy to make you fall away.

In times of spiritual dryness or desolation, just strive to fulfill your daily obligation - 5 decades will be plenty.

When you can manage it is always best to say all fifteen but if you can only manage 5, then don’t worry - just say 5.

🙂

Actually there are 20 decades in the full Rosary.

In the modern one yes. Prior to 2002 and forth.
The traditional one is 15 decades and the one i recommend all to go by. But, that is me.

You can pray any amount of Decades you want, in fact St Louis de Montfort recommended that people pray all 15 if possible

I like The Luminous Mysteries. They are the public ministry of Christ and complete the Rosary.

I try to pray the mysteries of the day. I wish I had time to pray the twenty.

I too like the Luminous Mysteries.

of course it is okay, it is okay to say the entire rosary for that matter, or any part of it. There is no rule for praying the rosary as a private devotion. Why would you think otherwise? there is a rosary and sacramentals section, it is the Spirituality forum. You may find helpful threads there as well.

Why not do all 20 of them??
That would be what is considered a “full rosary”

150 psalms. That is what the traditional rosary that i stick excists from. I do know that blessed Pope John Paul II launched the luminous mysteries in 2002. They are optional yes.

I accept them yes, but i also recognize and stick to the original rosary. 100 %.

Optional??? Heck, the whole rosary is optional. It is only a “private” devotion.
