Dear friends,
Recently I have had the pleasure and privilege to work on two vocational resource sites for groups dedicated to the older form of the Roman rite, in union with Pope Benedict XVI:
fsspvocations.blogspot.com
tradvocations.blogspot.com
The first site is specifically dedicated to showcasing the work of the Priestly Fraternity of St Peter (FSSP), and to foster Priestly Vocations to the Fraternity specifically from Scotland and Ireland. The second site has a more generalised aim, viz., to promote Priestly and Religious Vocations, male and female alike, to all Traditionalist groups.
Some of you have already been in contact with me, asking how you can be of help. Whilst no computer resources are required (we deliberately used the blog approach to ensure no ongoing costs, etc.), we do definitely require your assistance.
You can help in two ways. The first is to spread the word: feature these on your blog, tell your friends, etc. Equally, would your Parish or Diocese allow one or both to be featured in a newsletter, on a website, etc.? Are there other websites they should be featured on, or linked from? After all, these blogs are to encourage Vocations, so people need to see them!
The second way you can help is if you can be our eyes and ears: we need information, for example courses of studies in various
Seminaries, entrance requirements, website links, etc. Equally, since they are blogs, news items are also needed: for example, TLM happenings in your area, visits to monasteries, etc. Can you have a look at these blogs and let me know what is missing?
So, that is my pitch to you, to ask for your help. Those working on these blogs have seen the decline of faith in their homelands, Scotland and Ireland, and believe a firm embrace of Holy Mother Church’s liturgical tradition can help alleviate that crisis. May the Lord send us more holy Priests, monks and nuns than we can know what to do with!
“O Lord, grant us Priests. O Lord grant us holy Priests. O Lord, grant us many holy Priests.” If you know a young man trying to discern his vocation, please consider directing him to these blogs.
God bless you, and thanks for all your help,
Mark
