Just out of curiosity, how many of you use special books or pamphlets for Advent. I bought a copy of the ADVENT 2007 booklet fromn Magnificat magazine. Seems to be a good selection of prayers and devotions to keep your mind on Advent and away from the commercial rubbish.
I also bought the hardback book BENEDICTUS. Essentially a collection of the writings of Pope Benedict XVI. There seems to be no pattern or organization in the daily readings. But you do get a page every day for meditation and instruction. I’ll let you know a year from now what the final verdict is.
