I was at work the other day when this woman who I am very friendly stole a company jacket. The problem is I was right next to her when she did and it was an extremely awkward situation. I should have stood-up and told her it was wrong, but instead I let it happen as if I didn’t see anything. She must have felt guilty because she said something to me about taking it, but I just kind of froze because I hate confrontation and said I didn’t see anything
. Afterwords I was so mad at myself because my lack of strength for standing up for what’s right caused me to pretty much be an accomplice. I’ve always kind of been like that because I hate confrontation and just go with the flow. My question is if I should go to confession. I’m assuming I should because of my cowardice, but wanted to make sure.
Also, is it considered stealing if someone leaves work early without telling their boss? Thanks in advance for all of your help.
