Two questions for Lutherans

1.) What is the “official” bible translation used by the LCMS here in the U.S.

2.) Are there any apologetics sites like catholic.com for the Lutheran faith. I have been reading and searching around lcms.org , but it is not quite the same as this site.

I would suggest emailing them at the LCMS site. They were responsive to a question that I had a few years ago.

None that are really "official’. In lectionary and liturgical practice we use the ESV.

You could explore wittenbergtrail.org/

There are some others that are more apologetics oriented. Just google “Lutheran apologetics”.

In the LCMS the Bible used was the NIV. It’s still used by quite a few congregations.

Now it seems to be the ESV, before that the NIV was widely used. My previous pastor had a love for the KJ version.

About the only sight I could think of is the wittenburg trail. Though it is not the only I’m sure.
