Two questions regarding being ordained in the priesthood

Hi, newbie Catholic discerning the Priesthood (perhaps Dominican?) here, with two questions…

-Is it determined by the seminary you attend?
-Is it determined by saying so yourself?
-Do you have to be ordained at a certain church?
-If your order of choice has a chapter in an area other than your own, do you pack up and go to that chapter in order to be trained and ordained in that order there?

My next question is:
How does one exactly go about being trained as a “biritual” priest, meaning, they can practice in two different liturgical rites, such as Roman and Byzantine? Do they have to enroll at two seminaries that are in the tradition of the rites they wish to be able to function in?

The first step you have to take is to contace a vocations director; your Priest should be able to put you into contact with one; from there you can discern what type of Priest or other Vocation you are being called to.

Generally speaking; Religious Orders and Diocesian Priests are distinct - a Diocesian Priest operates under his Bishop; wheras a Religious Priest operates under their superior. Often there will be different paths and methods of Training.

-Is it determined by the seminary you attend?

No; the seminary you attend is determined by your Vocation - ie; what Diocese or Order you are going into.

-Is it determined by saying so yourself?

You have a say in what exactly you feel called to; but ultimatly the final acceptance rests on the particular people you will be serving.

-Do you have to be ordained at a certain church?

No.

-If your order of choice has a chapter in an area other than your own, do you pack up and go to that chapter in order to be trained and ordained in that order there?

This depends on the Religious Order; however often large orders have their own study centres and seminaries that they go to; rather than the diocesian one.

Also; be aware if you feel called to a Religious Order that your call to the Priesthood would not pose a problem. Some Religious Orders don’t automatically allow admission to Priesthood for their members.
