Two requests regarding the sin of sexual perversion

I’ve suffered from a sexual perversion for many years. It’s not same-sex attraction but a different perversion. I’m inclined to believe my perversion stemmed from a bad relation with my mother and being bullied at school. I’ve doing really well for the past couple of weeks and am, for the most part, free from it though I still get tempted occasionally, and I don’t ever plan on letting my guard down. I owe a lot of thanks to Our Holy Mother Mary for these recent successes.

Anyways, I thought I’d ask for prayers of reparation for the sin of sexual perversion, both same-sex attraction and other perversions, it is after all one of the four sins that cry to Heaven for vengeance, and I have pretty good understanding of why Our Compassionate Lord would be seriously offended by it. But I would also like prayers for those enslaved to the sin of sexual perversion, that they may be freed from slavery to such sins and that the wounds from which they stem may be healed. I don’t want anyone suffering what I suffered and I get really upset when I hear, how society and governments are targeting reparative therapy groups, that want to heal and free people suffering with these wounds

begin and grow by touching
His Love.

Let your gentle Peace -
which this world cannot give

Remember, to sin requires an act of will. You have to choose to do evil. If you are aroused by something against your will, and refrain from acting on it, I’m not sure you’re even sinning.

It must be a heavy cross to bear, though, and I’m sorry. But simply feeling a desire for something isn’t sinful in itself. Good luck working through it with professional help.

I pray to the Immaculate Heart of Mary that through her prayers to her Holy son, all of us who suffer from this sin will find the wisdom to see the sin coming so we can avoid it, the strength to drive it from our minds as St. Michael the Archangel thrust Satan from Heaven, and the humility to confess it when we fail. I pray for the intercession of St. Maria Goretti to help keep us as free as God sees fit from the very thoughts of temptation.
