NEW YORK — The U.S. ambassador to the U.N. has pledged to continue to (name removed by moderator)lead the case of an American pastor imprisoned in Iran when she appears before the United Nations.
Samantha Power met with the wife of pastor Saeed Abedini on Friday at the U.S. Mission in New York City.
As previously reported, Abedini, a former Iranian Muslim turned Christian, left Iran in 2005 and moved to the United States with his wife and two children to find religious freedom after facing conflict with authorities for planting house churches in the county. In 2012, he traveled back to Iran to build an orphanage and visit his parents—and was about to return to the states—when he was taken into custody.

I pray this poor man is freed soon and can return to his family.
Guess his release was not part of the Iran deal negotiated by Obama and Kerry. 😦
