I didn’t see anything I disagree with, if the words are taken at face value without embelishment. No doubt they felt the need to clarify that the Church’s stance does not involve the WIlliamson view of the world.

I support the USCCB condemning these comments. But I was extremely dissapointed with the USCCB for not explaining why comments like these have nothing to do with excommunication at all and you don’t try and corrupt the Church just because someone questions the authenticity of history.
