I know nothing about this fellow. One poster accused him of previously performing abortions. Anyone know?

(CNSNews.com) – Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.), who is also an OB/GYN, told CNSNews.com on Friday that many medical practitioners, including himself, will go to prison before agreeing to engage in medical practices they morally oppose, such as abortion.

Civil disobedience may become the order of the day(s). We have a higher law and King to serve.

Sen. Coburn has never been an abortionist. He is a passionate pro-lifer. When he says he’d go to jail before performing an abortion, he means. He is a practicing oby-gyn…Roanoker

So what did this guy do before Bush inacted the ‘Conscience Clause’? Was he being forced to perform abortions pre-Bush?

I question how pro-life this guy really is with quotes like this:

“I favor the death penalty for abortionists and other people who take life.”
I do like his stand against funding the Iraqi War though:

On May 24, 2007 the US Senate voted 80-14 to fund the war in Iraq. Coburn voted nay.

On October 1, 2007 the US Senate voted 92-3 to fund the war in Iraq. Coburn voted nay.

In February 2008, Coburn said, “I will tell you personally that I think it was probably a mistake going to Iraq.”

That’s so funny cause that is exactly how I felt when Bush led us to war in Iraq for greed and oil.

First of all, get it straight, I am not a Republican and definitely not a Dem. I just find it ironic that someone to the left of right finds it okay to “judge” another person, even our fallible ex. Usually the “judgement” shot is said to be a failing of the right by the left. We are SO JUDGEMENTAL!!!
