“A large part of the available UFO literature is closely linked with mysticism and the metaphysical. It deals with subjects like mental telepathy, automatic writing and invisible entities as well as phenomena like poltergeist [ghost] manifestation and ‘possession.’ Many of the UFO reports now being published in the popular press recount alleged incidents that are strikingly similar to demonic possession and psychic phenomena.”

“But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed!” (Galatians 1:8)
This phenomenon has its connection rather to sorcery and magic as opposed to inter-planetary visitiations. For those who are not familiar with the subject of UFO research, it definately is something that needs to be thought about by all Christians to avoid possible deception. Much research has been done on this topic by Protestant and fundamental Christians, Catholics however haven’t touched on the subject very much.
I myself was very much involved with some independent study/research a few years ago and actually started to entertain some of these things i was reading. Praise be to Jesus Christ that he rescued me! There is an exhaustive amount of information on this topic available. Much of it is to be avoided though due to its deceptive nature. I do not encourage anyone to read any of the material as mere reading of it can disturb or even begin to alter beliefs.
One of the clues as to the realm that these things have their origin is in their categorization in bookstores. What once was considered the “Occult” section in bookstores is now called “New Age.” That is where literature about these experiences is found. The media though and popular shows on Discovery Channel, Sci-Fi Channel, or the History Channel don’t talk much about this. They never relate the connection of these things to the Occult realm.
For those readers that aren’t familiar, the word “Occult” translates to “hidden.” Anything having to do with the Occult is forbidden by the Catechism…

First off, let me make clear that i'm not talking about the immature "Little Green Men" nonsense on this thread. Nor am i interested in hearing comments implying that this is just another "wacko conspiracy theory." I'm not here to argue with anyone, i'm only posting what i've come across in my studies. I already know the type of posts that have a tendency to come as a result of this topic. I'm already familiar with those who are skeptical but first i ask that you seriously read over the information here and consider it.
I'm referring to a serious phenomenon that is deceiving many people and ruining the lives of its victims. I'm referring to actual documented cases of victims who were "supposedly" taken against their will by entities and forced to submit to horrid surgical procedures, sexual intercourse, and given messages that deny Jesus as the Christ, deny God's existence, and proclaim that they're our saviors and creators. St. Paul spoke of angels preaching false gospels in his letter to the Galatians...

2116 - All forms of divination are to be rejected: recourse to Satan or demons, conjuring up the dead or other practices falsely supposed to "unveil" the future.48 Consulting horoscopes, astrology, palm reading, interpretation of omens and lots, the phenomena of clairvoyance, and recourse to mediums all conceal a desire for power over time, history, and, in the last analysis, other human beings, as well as a wish to conciliate hidden powers. They contradict the honor, respect, and loving fear that we owe to God alone.
2117 - All practices of magic or sorcery, by which one attempts to tame occult powers, so as to place them at one's service and have a supernatural power over others - even if this were for the sake of restoring their health - are gravely contrary to the virtue of religion. These practices are even more to be condemned when accompanied by the intention of harming someone, or when they have recourse to the intervention of demons. Wearing charms is also reprehensible. Spiritism often implies divination or magical practices; the Church for her part warns the faithful against it. Recourse to so-called traditional cures does not justify either the invocation of evil powers or the exploitation of another's credulity.
