Hello everyone. I stumbled upon this video and couldn’t stop laughing as I watched it. It really is hilarious. You’ve got to watch it. I cannot believe folks actually expect people to believe this stuff. These folks should really find some other way to make a living. Really.

Beware: it is about the Vatican hiding their knowledge and communications with extra-terrestrials. I kid you not!

I read a few of the comments. People actually believe this garbage!

What’s really sad is that these people vote using the same ignorance and paranoia to choose candidates.

Think I should’ve headlined this comic relief from the otherside!

Dude-Bro! The Catholic Church has been in on the conspiracy since the beginning. It knows ALL about the UFOs! Check it out!

They stole the movies “Independence Day” and “V” from these secret paintings that are kept inside the Vatican!

The Vatican even predicted the Death Star!

Our Lord even owned a toy helicopter!!!!

Just kidding, of course. There is a whole school of UFO buffs who claim to have found depictions of UFOs in religious paintings. They are actually iconographic interpretations of religious concepts that were common at the time, or taken out of context by cropping. There is a website by an art historian with an in-depth examination and debunking of the UFO claims (unfortunately, not all the pages have been translated from Italian, but some are. It’s a pretty interesting site: sprezzatura.it/Arte/Arte_UFO_eng.htm). There is also a good book on the subject, “Out of Place in Time and Space” by Lamont Wood that examines these and other supposed anomalies.

The last picture is kind of puzzling, however. It is a 1460 painting by an unknown local artist of Mary and the Christ child with St. Benedict, in the Musee de Tesse in Le Mans, France. Jesus is shown holding what seems to be a pull-string toy helicopter, long before any such toys were known or before Leonardo da Vinci sketched the idea of a helicopter (Leonardo was 8 years old when the painting was made). It may be a whirligig, or pinwheel, that was sometimes included in religious paintings as a way to introduce another cross motif. This painting is evidence that some toy-maker realized you could power a pinwheel not only with the wind, but also by a pull-string that would let it fly a short distance.

It gave me a good laugh, why are Christian denominations so obsessed with the Catholic Church, they should be looking at themselves since they are not Catholic.

Next you will have people believe that pigs can fly -,well at night that is why we don’t see them flying. I ask myself what is the IQ of people who believe this rot about Aliens and the Vatican, should men in white coats come and get them as clearly the lift does not go all the way up the building. sad.

These people should concentrate on there own form of Christianity.

I know you helped them make the video didn’t you? Honestly some of these shots were in it! Our Lady of the UFO included!

P.S. Is that the Holy Father getting his first golf lesson on how to hold the club while the aliens gaze on in wonder in the fifth pic?

For the record, some people seem to think a UFO was involved at Fatima. One can look it up, in fact, at amazon.com, if one reads some reviews of the books covering Fatima, there seems to be a reviewer who unfortunately, one stars the books and tells his story on I believe UFOs. His name is a Southern European type of name I think, Italy, Portugal or Spain.

For some, the internet has led to quick answers and a corresponding desire to avoid doing a lot of research. Thank you for shedding light on this subject. In doing historical research, one must look at the source and be able to determine, usually from other, credible references, a logical conclusion or reasonable inference. Other times, one must use deductive reasoning to help form a complete picture. In other cases, the source can just be accurate and needs no further clarification or study.

Since I study inventors and inventions, I have discovered that in some cases, two or more people come up with the same idea at roughly the same time, usually separated by days or weeks, but the person who gets the credit is the one who publishes first or obtains a patent first. I never use the phrase “ahead of their time.” It assumes that men like Edison, Marconi and Tesla were ahead, but that was not the case. They made things that worked at the time, and had the imagination, combined with experimental knowledge, which they used to make various things.

The UFO community has grown increasingly filled with crackpot ideas with little to nothing to support them. In some cases, totally bizarre and non-science based ideas are peddled as possibilities, which are not reasonable. Speculative fiction applies to too much. After studying the subject for a long time, I have found that there is more than enough historical material to draw reasonable conclusions. And I have written off so many recent books as just rewrites of what has gone on before with new cases added in or as promoting ideas that the author might believe are real but which lack critical reasoning, sufficient background information and/or documentation from credible sources.

Best,
Ed

Charles Fort called that “Steam Engine Time,” to describe how multiple inventors often come up with the same invention at the time when the technological infrastructure and economic demand is there to support it - like the invention of the steam engine, which has multiple claimants (or even whacky ideas like “Dazzle Camouflage” in WWI.)

First I’ve heard of “Steam Engine Time.” Thanks. Dazzle camouflage did not pass the test but other, effective camouflage clothing appeared, along with vehicles painted in camouflage, and aircraft. Naval ships carried a number of camouflage schemes. I think Nikola Tesla is not given enough credit for his work, but getting back to the topic:

From Fort’s “Lo!”: A tree can not find out, as it were, how to blossom, until comes blossom-time. A social growth cannot find out the use of steam engines, until comes steam-engine-time." I first heard that in quotation, from Buckminster Fuller.

I hadn’t heard about Dazzle camouflage until just a couple of weeks ago. It sounds like at least two or three people came up with the idea at the same time, including an industrial artist and a zoologist specialist in animal coloration and camouflage, Both claimed credit for the idea (which sounds like it was more a morale booster for sailors than an effective camouflage), but it sounds like they came up with the idea independently, in response to the felt need of the British Navy - Dazzle Camouflage Time.

I really am not a true beliver in UFOs and that sort of thing. But I have seen moving lights in the night sky near Sky Harbor airport near Phoenix.

This sort of New Age stuff is all over cable and satellite TV. They can’t have faith in God, but they ARE devout followers of all kinds of outrageous non-sense. Not just UFOs but ghosts, big feet and so called ‘monsters’. God must be passé and out of style.

Dazzle camo wasn’t supposed to hide the ship, but make it harder to gauge the exact distance and speed of it. It’s pretty cool looking in my opinion.

I don’t confirm nor deny the existance of extra terrestrial beings but I definitely do not believe that the Vatican is hiding something regarding them.
